The dates for the 2011 Dunedin Fringe Festival are 17-27 March. Artist registrations will take place in October and November this year so pencil in the dates and stay in touch. An artist info pack will be uploaded to this site soon. Stay in touch with the latest info on the Festival's Facebook page.
The Dunedin Fringe is an annual festival of innovative and experimental art by emerging and established artists from Dunedin, throughout New Zealand and overseas guests. The 2010 Dunedin Fringe took place from 18-28 March and featured over fifty outstanding events and more than 300 artists. This included over 20 premier events created specifically for the Festival and numerous touring shows from outside Dunedin.
Dunedin embraced the 2010 Dunedin Fringe Festival with over 11,000 people attending artist and Festival produced events. The programme featured 47 artist events and a handful of special festival events and key venues designed to bring artists and audiences together to celebrate all that is great about a fringe festival – the passion of the performers, the provocative nature of their work, the unusual venues, the unique ideas and the risk of stepping into the unknown.
If you want to be IN the Dunedin Fringe you can register an event later this year or you can get involved in one of the Festival's events. See the Get Involved page for more info.
